Searching Gmail Just Got Better

Gmail has a helpful new upgrade: you're now able to search your email by filtering out the size of attachments. So, if you've got dozens of emails about a topic, and several of them have attachments, and you know you want a particular attachment, you can guess at the file size of the attachment, and then search.

You'll find over time, when you have thousands of emails, that this feature will help you locate information that you need to find. Try it out.

Printing PDFs From Google Docs

Students have noticed that sometimes documents print out at school completely black, with a page full of black toner, rather than the page they were expecting.

This happens only on desktop computers, not on Chromebooks or netbooks. And the problem occurs when you're trying to print a PDF that has been uploaded to Google Docs.

Tech Leader Suha walks you through the solution below. It's pretty simple: all you need to do is download the PDF to your J-Drive, then open the document from the J-Drive, and then print it.

Spread the word--- the printers really aren't designed to print all-black pages of toner

We made this video on a desktop computer using Screencast-O-Matic. Then we recorded the audio track using Audacity. Then we edited the whole thing using WeVideo on a Chromebook.
